A JOURNEY TO REMEMBER

Finally our train arrived . It had only 5 min stay , so we rushed towards the train on next platform. But i lagged behind . Rashmi screamed - " come on!". I was bit tired so i was going at turtle speed. somehow i managed to reach just an instant before the train was about to leave. Rashmi said (in high pitch)- "how week you are, i reached much before you , being a boy you should be faster than me. I couldn't reply . Train was overcrowded. she ,somehow, sat and i was still standing and looking at the mob. finally , her brother found my place with Rashmi. A was again serving like a bodyguard. Mama and rajeev went on upper birth and they continued their life long talk. Meanwhile we two were sandwiched between the persons on left and right. Now it was time for us to resume our talk. I was reading a sport magazine. She didn't like it. She took my magazine and kept in her purse. Then started my duty. It was very hot due to the weather as well as the peoples. I requested to give my magazine back. But she refused. I thought she wanted to talk. I thought-" what to say". I said- " have you brought any other books ". She replied-"no". But i could see the NCERT chemistry and physics books (as i revised these books so many time, i could identify even its smell and radiation). I thought i was just making her boared. I was thinking what to do. meanwhile she took off her spectacles and handed over her purse and spectacles. She said -"keep the spectacles in purse and hold the purse , i'm facing too much difficulties". I obeyed like a LKG child. I thought it would be a good idea to ask her about serials and movies. I asked what serials and movies you like. she replied but we couldn't keep the talk continued for more than 2 min. Meanwhile a fat couple opposite to us were finding it difficult to cope with the prevailing conditions. sometimes the husband would be on wife's lap and sometimes wife. I couldn't prevent me laughing. when i looked at her we both were laughing. Meanwhile our talk resumed. After half an hour of talk she felt sleepy. She said- " i feel like sleeping. would you mind if i keep my head on your shoulder ". I was bewildered. But i replied -"why not!". she took of her hair bands and gave it to me and i kept it inside the purse. As she kept her head and hold my neck. I was shivering and it felt like a current has just circulated inside my body. But i tried to control me and she kept on sleeping. I was perplex. I was not able to decide, what to do. Rajeev saw her holding me. He said- " are you feeling uncomfortable ". I said -" no no, not at all" (but i was much uncomfortable as you can imagine !). I tried to talk with with some peoples already having hot discussion( it was an attempt to overcome the situation i was going through). Meanwhile she kept on sleeping. After about an hour Rajeev said ( looking at the sweat on my body) - "you come to my berth! i can see you are feeling uncomfortable". I replied- " no no, its ok ". He said you come on my place. we swapped our place and i was feeling much relieved and sleepy. I slept for 3 hours. At morning 6:30. when i woke up i could she her asking about my well being through eyes . Finally we reached our destination. Mama invited them to our house but Rajeev said- " some other day!". The they took auto and mama kept on talking meanwhile i was watching her and so see was but couldn't utter a single word . As the auto left and she shook her hands biding goodbye, me too. But i was feeling that something is going away. for the next 1 week i didn't go for crickets and celebrations and stick to my house thinking about what has happened to me!.
