A JOURNEY TO REMEMBER ( part - 1)
If you belong to a middle class family you have to bear two things critically, first is the responsibility of studies and second one is the responsibility towards family. I was also not an exception . I was sincere and committed to aspirations of parent. so, like other lakhs of students i was also an engineering aspirant.
Story goes back to the year when i was in 12th and i went durgapur for WBJEE entrance test. As it was my first journey outside my home town , i was accompanied by my Mama( Maternal Uncle). Exam was very much exhausting i came out of test center. I asked mama -"should we go now". he replied -"just wait for some time". As an obedient boy i didn't argued further. He introduced me to a man and told me that we were actually waiting for his ward to come . I kept on looking here and there. I was feeling hungry and angry too. while i was looking into the crowd , there came a girl dressed in white kurti and black jeans and wearing an spectacle. the man screamed-" come here". she came more nearer . At first sight she looked like a "typical padhaku girl"..The man was actually her big brother. His name was Rajeev. Rajeev asked the girl- " How was your paper". she replied confidently -" It was good". Then he asked me straightaway- " How was your exam , sonu ". I replied hesitatingly -"It was O.K" (i was laughing from inside).
We moved from there to the hotel where they were staying.In the way i had many things going in my mind at the same time and i was curious to see her. I was feeling too much hunger. I couldn't prevent me saying- " mama , lets go quickly". She laughed. I also felt like laughing but i controlled myself. we were waiting outside. In the meantime they came out. I was again amazed. she changed her dress and there was a black T-shirt in place of kurti. I couldn't prevent staring at her. She was looking gorgeous.Whenever she looked at me i pretended as if i was busy elsewhere. As i was trying to synchronize the activities of being in discipline as well as looking at her (because of my strict mama). Girl was looking at me eagerly ( as i was trying to attract her attention). I felt like saying something ( mama came in the way) and so she was ( as i felt). We left from there and we had to go to a restaurant at a walking distance. As it was a sunny day her face turned red and trying to avoid the sun's rays by the futile effort of handkerchief . I was looking continuously at her and whenever she looked at me i looked to other side . while the guardians were talking to each other i was on the the left of mama and she was on right of her brother . I collected all my courage and came right side of mama and then she also came on the left of her brother as if she read my eyes. I was smiling inside. I made 2 or 3 attempts to say "hi" but i couldn't and she also could not. finally we reached the restaurant. And my words kept scratching my head and heart........ to be continued in next part ...............:):):):)
